and Sai is wonderful! but sometimes when i'm inking, i'm too zoomed in that i end up getting the perspective and proportions wrong(i'm looking at your, mama b+w)

Obviously based on this.

i got this idea while I was thinking to myself, why is it that i HATE both girls in the elite 4. 

for Shauntal it was because she was the first of the elite 4 i faced and the difference in difficulty level between her and everything up till that point was REALLY big.

as for Caitlin, i hate her personality -- she's all like: "i'm soooooo bored, don't bore me."

then i thought "if you're bored, go read a book." 

then i thought "hey! isn't Shauntal a writer, go read her books."

then i got this idea that i decided was worth drawing...

I think the the protagonist is rather cute as he is, but me being me, i needed to add scarves, olden time clothing and bleach a few things :>

i think i like the second design the most, but it really just looks like a paper boy from the 1970s (which is what i used for reference... so... yeah... )

i inked this pic in SAI and... it took a retardedly long time... like, really...

but i love how thin the lines are! and ctrl+z, omg, ctrl+z!

In actual game news, i'm almost done redoing all my char's tarots and soul stones.

(and by "almost" i mean "not really"...)

It's a grueling endeavor, but hopefully by the time i'm done, they will be a bit stronger...

this pic was a nightmare, i must have recolored his clothing at least 3 times (and yes, it still turned out looking like this) and color-corrected this pic 20 times!!

but i just wasn't blending it correctly so after going back and forth a whole bunch of times, i ended up using blue...

i started this pic on the 1st of feb, and it is now the 7th...

i'm only calling this pic done cause i'd rather move on than spend 7 more days and tweak it 389278127381 more times (and end up with the same mess).

Well, just because i'm having problems with Megaten gameplay doesn't mean i have to stop drawing my characters <3

Meh... (aka: rant time)

More and more of how i feel towards Megaten...

Today, another close friend of mine decided to quit megaten leaving me to wonder just how many more of my friends are going to quit before i eventually pack my bags and join them ._.

i mean i don't blame them - megaten probably has the slowest content release out of every MMO out there. I was fine with this, however, cause i was hanging around pretty awesome people. But lately most of them seem to be quitting/ going on hiatus indefinitely.
now when i log on, 70% of the time it's to synth and si for clannies, 10% for demon care spam/ DFRs, 10% for trading, and the last 10% is actually for dungeon running.
as much as i like helping my clannies, i think it's time to quit if that's the main thing i'm doing...
if i quit, I'll still have my characters (in my memories), contact info for my friends... the only difference will be the the lack of stress on my bank account. lmao!

Paint Tool SAI

I've had this program installed on my computer for almost a month now, but i've been too afraid to try it out.

(i've been using photoshop for so long, i'm really comfortable with it and i fear change D=)

But i finally decided to try it out and here's the outcome:

(it's a Dominion)

I could have drawn this a lot faster in Photoshop and it would probably look pretty similar, but i really liked the fluidity (i can't think of another word for it) of SAI. 

The main difference i gathered from trying Sai is that in photoshop i had all these crutches i could fall back on while in SAI, i did not.

For SAI, i guess i'll just have to be a bit more confident in my brushstrokes and read A LOT of tutorials then hopefully i can start to pull off what many of the artists out there are doing.

I guess this post is just here as a remainder to myself that i need to be a bit more confident and not so fearful of change.

god, finding the people with the alice and girimekhala plug-in took FOREVER. But at the end i got help from a couple of really sweet people who didn't even charge me a fusing fee <3
